Frequently Asked Questions
Can doctors pay for a higher ranking?
No. Doctors can pay to unlock advanced features (such as more photos or response tools), but it's the resulting improvement in profile completeness and responsiveness that influences ranking. No doctor can directly purchase a higher position.
Is the doctor information on this platform reliable?
Our data is sourced from public, regulated channels including the Medical Council of Hong Kong and specialist college registries, and is cross-checked before publication. We update regularly, but we recommend calling the clinic to confirm the latest consultation hours and fees before your visit.
Do you collect my personal health information?
Searching on ok.med currently requires no login, and we do not ask for your name, contact details, or any personal health information. We only use cookies to collect anonymous usage data to improve the experience. If we introduce login-based features in the future, you will see a clear consent request before using them for the first time. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.
How can I update my clinic's information?
Please email [email protected] and our team will assist you.
How do you make money?
Healthcare professionals can choose to pay for premium profile features. Enterprise partners may also work with us to improve healthcare information accessibility. We never share or sell patient personal data.
Why do some doctors have more detailed profiles than others?
Doctors can optionally pay to unlock advanced features, such as uploading more photos or using response tools. We encourage all doctors to complete their profiles as fully as possible. It's what helps patients most.
